TriMet Tracker

★★★★★ I find this app indispensable for determining how long I have to wait before the next bus/MAX is expected to arrive. Sure, it's not perfect (especially with respect to sudden detours that also haven't popped up on TriMet's Service Alerts webpage, unexpectedly cancelled trips, and inclement weather), but then neither is TriMet's own proprietary Transit Tracker system, which this app pulls iits info from. For the most part, it's pretty reliable, and I'd say that over 95% of the time, the ETA is accurate (when one also takes into account traffic and weather conditions, construction zones, detours, loading/unloading mobility devices/strollers/"granny carts", and unruly/uncooperative passengers who cause the bus to be held up), and I've rarely found any discrepancies between the ETAs reflected on this app versus TriMet's official Tracker system. The app is also fairly easy to use, albeit not very intuitive for someone new to it and there is unfortunately no help system or help files available that I can find (if the developer would consider adding such in the next update, that would be very useful). Also, to the previous reviewer who said that the app doesn't update the arrival time when in the map view, it auto-refreshes both ETA and bus location fine for me, so it might be related to their phone settings or design; they might want to try a manual refresh by swiping down on the screen or using whatever gesture/button their phone uses for forcing a refresh.

★★★★★ Use it all the time. Every day. Great app. I can quickly see when my bus will arrive as I leave home and work. I literally check it morning and night. Easy to use. Easy to love. Thanks!
