Description

TruTac App is a mobile system for drivers to complete daily vehicle inspections. TruTac App captures all of the information required by DVSA inspectors and provides type specific and configurable check lists for all vehicle and trailers.

Data is through email alerts and web-based reporting system, giving visibility and accurate vehicle management. Once a check form has been logged, it is automatically sent to the office to notify of problems.

Forms are easily recalled for inspections and workshop maintenance. Managers can configure checklists along with the order of completion and expected timeframe. Time stamped reports are immediately available and are stored electronically.

Comments on TruTac App for Android

★★★★★ John Leonard · Jan 21, 2026

Our company has used this app for nearly 5 years. We use it for our 3 HGV drivers, their units & trailers, our 90+ mobile engineers vans & 40+ company cars. We also have their driving license checking facility to check over 150 licenses for company vehicle users. App will log you out if not used for a few weeks, can be difficult to get back in as the password request doesn't always work, so it is down to me using the portal to issue a new password. Once installed, it needs setting to default 2 user

The app is really good however I am now experiencing my phones navigation buttons are blocking the buttons to navigate the app

Tru docs worked great for viewing and signing infringements, but since the latest update this is not the case now. Please fix, can't View or sign for infringements any more***UPDATE***This problem has now been rectified

Still appears that they haven't got to the bottom of the software crashing and taking you back to the beginning when taking a photo!

★☆☆☆☆ karl schonewald · Oct 29, 2021

Doesn't work.! Name and traffic update only. Trudriver which is the useful part is nowhere to be found anymore.

★★☆☆☆ Kelvin · Jun 2, 2025

With the latest update, the app has been kept on crashing every time I take a picture and press ok. When I press for camera, another window opens to select either "from phone" or "take picture." This doesn't make any sense whatsoever. Rather, this option is open to cheat. Instead of actual check, this option allows you to use library pictures. What the point???? And it's so slowly on response that I need to press twice or third time to go to the next step while checking.
