I really like this app, but it needs a bit of improvement. The thing I have the most struggle in is the "likes" section where it should have a mini search bar within it, cause if I want to ever see a post I liked a long time ago then I have to scroll ALL THE WAY down to actually see it, and it's just too inconvenient, a search bar in the likes section would make thing VERY easier.

The recent interface changes have been the worst, and staff has continued to ignore feedback from longtime users about biased moderation of trans women, allowed ads with strobing lights that cannot be filtered (epilepsy hazard), and continues to push for tumblr live, a feature that not only is not wanted by the majority of the site but also collects all of your data. For a website whose major draw is how anonymous it is, this is massively disappointing.

I've been using tumblr for years and all the changes staff has been making has only made it worse. The scrolling ads between posts crash the app if you don't scroll fast enough, the "tumblr live" button, which is only used by bots ane cam girls and which no one ever actually uses is now a permanent "NEW" feature that never goes away, and staff bias leads to posts being flagged as inappropriate when they are mundane at worst. If they don't roll back these changes, im switching to bluesky.

The app is terrible, and every update only seems to make things worse. Tumblr is plagued by nonsensical UI changes and features nobody wants (tumblr live). User feedback on changes is not taken into account.
