Description by Mauro Vanetti(from Google Play)
Two people are unemployed. They are going to be interviewed today and if they manage to make a good impression they will get the job.
The questions are the same, the answers are the same, but the interviewees are not the same: one is Martin, a man, the other one is Irene, a woman. Should it make any difference?
This is a narrative mini game created in Italian by indie developer Mauro Vanetti in one day during the Narrative Game Design course held by We Are Müesli in Bologna in January 2016. It's now being published in Italian, English, French, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese and Korean with a revamped graphics by Emanuele Klemp in order to spread awareness about gender discrimination in access to work.

As a woman, I really appreciate how this game sheds light on some very real issues that aren't even just harmful to women but also men. This kind of thing is not a reality everywhere but sadly and unfortunately, it happens enough to still merit discussions and demands for societal improvements. I don't see how something that still happens in reality, especially in less progressive places, is merely "pushing an agenda." One must be very sheltered, ignorant, privileged, or lucky to deny or downplay the existence of such realities. People who think it is simply an agenda are obviously missing the point and refusing to acknowledge all the data/research done on such issues, even if some of the facts are already laid out in this game. These people may very well be in denial and unable to empathize with those who still experience such double standards all across the globe. Anyway, I don't really think it hurts to have more of these games that don't just aim to entertain but also to inform/educate/spread awareness regarding different and current societal issues (gendered or not) so I don't really have much to complain about other than the technical and aesthetic aspects of the gameplay, which could still use a bit more work/polishing.

I am glad that I was able to get the woman the job once.

The wage gap is a myth. The study conducted to show the gap did not account for different jobs with different salaries. Women tend to pick lower paying jobs than those that men would normally pick. Asking an interviewee about their marital status is not only irrelevant, but also unprofessional, unethical, and I'm pretty sure illegal (at least here in the US). We also have so many tools and systems in the work force, so we can prevent sexual harassment. And a man complimenting your hair at work is not sexual harassment. Plus women are not the only ones to get sexually harassed. Men get harassed too. Mostly by women. The wage gap is a myth. Feminism is a joke. This game is stupid and not supported by facts. This is fearmongering and a game designed to turn women into feminists who will blindly believe that women will be opressed and harassed, no matter where they go or what they do.

I'm still to see that kind of behavior's IRL. For years, I've been driven to think the world seems leading women as bossy and that's utter lies. Even women of power in the 50s were admired. If a woman is thought of as provocative, bossy... whatever, it's generally because she is. There is no worldwide societal conspiration against women. Foe having experienced being led by a bossy woman I can tell you it's just that. In the same time there are a lot of leading women admired by the workers under their order. Yet, most leading men are spit at by their employees in their back. So yeah? Maybe stop trying so hard to make a reality that doesn't exist like BLM or 3rd waive feminism ;)

Women and men are equal in today's world. People are just people. Your game is just a promotion to feminism. Feminists fight for equal pay but don't realize they already have equal pay (In the US they have equal pay for a fact). This game is really just a waste of my time and your time. I hope you have already realized that this game is pointless.
