Literally just the best. It has everything you need to learn a language. English speakers, japanese, Chinese, spanish, and others can use this app.

This app was great already and with the update is even better. I like how the reviews and study works within the app, and is a fun way to learn Japanese. The only thing I'd say is that you learn colloquial Japanese only, so if you're a beginner be aware that talking like that may sound rude depending on the situation. So this app is not a substitution for a proper study, but it's a great way to supplement it.

This might be one of the best apps for language learning for vocabulary and listening comprehension. The video clips really give context and memorable moments to the words. This is what I need.

I really like the app, but they really don't communicate what comes with the free version and what's behind the paywall, and unfortunately, only the first 3 lessons seem to be in the free version. So even if you just do one small lesson a day, you reach the pay wall very quickly. And for people like me who have been using Duolingo for free for years now and who don't have enough resources to pay for such an app, this one is no use tbh.
