In Uncracked City you are the detective, and the job takes you around the world. The first time you open a case, you fly there across the map and the city gets its stamp. Crack the case and the stamp goes into your passport. A new city with every case, and a secret in each.
When you land, search the places and find the clues. Question the suspects: pick a question, or ask your own, typed or spoken. Each suspect answers in their own voice, with their own character and their own little secrets.
When a statement does not fit a clue, show it. A lie caught opens a new lead. But careful: lying does not make someone guilty. When you are sure, write your report: who and why (on the harder cases, when and where too), with the proof for each line. Three tries, not one more.
FIVE LEVELS TO LEARN. THEN THE REAL CASES.
Five short levels on five continents, one skill each. Then come the real cases, from easy to hard, each in a new city, up to New York, the hardest so far. A new case comes every week. Each real case shows how many investigators have cracked it. On most of them it still reads: Nobody has solved it yet.
HOW YOU INVESTIGATE
• Search the places: every case happens in a real neighbourhood. Find the clues, open what is locked.
• Question the suspects: they answer your own questions. Some of them lie.
• Catch the lie: on your cork board, pin a clue against a statement. When the lie breaks, a new lead opens.
• Write the report: the culprit, the motive, and the proof for each line.
WHAT MAKES IT DIFFERENT
• A world tour: a flight to a new city with every case, and a passport that fills with the stamps of the cities you crack.
• Suspects who really answer you: an AI writes their replies, in character, as you ask. If one goes wrong, tap "Flag" and we read it.
• A narrator whose voice you choose, a woman's or a man's, and suspects who speak their lines.
• Squads: play a case with friends on one board. What one of you finds, the others see.
• A nudge when you are stuck. It costs a few points.
• No account. Microphone optional. Free to play. In English, French, Spanish, German, Italian and Portuguese.
