Description
With Unity Remote 5, you can use an Android device to view and test your game live, right inside the Unity Editor 5.4 or later. Unity Remote 5 makes your Android device act as remote control. It streams touch, accelerometer, gyroscope, webcam and screen orientation change events back to Unity Editor. This is useful for rapid development when you don't want to compile and deploy your project to Android device for each change and prefer to use the Unity Editor Game window instead. Extended product documentation is available on Unity Manual: https://docs.unity3d.com/Manual/UnityRemote5.html
Recent changes: Added support for gamepads connected to the remote device (requires Unity 5.4) Added support for compass and location data

Unity Remote 5 is a great tool for debugging games without relly installing them on your device. I had problems with it not working, but I found some resources how to fix this. Eventually everything was narrowed down to missing USB drivers and permissions on your phone. You need to be in developers mode and to allow USB Debugging on your device. But the tool itself works flawlessly. Now I don't have to build and install the game every time when I make some small changes. Recomend it!

Got it to work *consistently* with Unity 2019.4 on Ubuntu 20.04: Connect phone to pc. Install ADB on Ubuntu. "adb shell" command *must* successfully show a shell prompt for your phone (then type 'exit' to exit). If not, rebooting phone and/or pc may fix it force-close Unity Remote, clear its cache & storage Start UnityRemote. Start Unity then Play it, then stop playing it Find and kill all unity procs Type "adb shell" then exit it. Start Unity, press Play and see joy ;)

This sucks. It doesn't work when I plug in phone, go to project settings and change unity remote to any device, and click play.

Worst. I am unable to connect even with new usb cable. This app is irritating. I spend more than 6 hrs on that even watched tutorial on YouTube but it's not connect with unity.
