Description
This app uses the microphone to auto detect the pitch of the note being played. The 3 dials will rotate to show the note being played. The middle dial shows the pitch or note name. The inner dial shows the octave. The outer dial will show if the note is flat or sharp - The orange region is within 10 cents for good tuning, the green is within 5 cents for more accurate tuning.
Whilst optimised as a guitar tuner, this app can be used for tuning many other musical instruments. Frequency detection from B0 (30 Hz) up to C8 (4186 Hz).
In addition to 12 Tone Equal Temperament(12-TET), choose from just intonation, Pythagorean, 5-limit, 7-limit, quarter comma meantone and N-Tone equal temperament tuning. For N-Tone ET, N can range from 5 to 52.
Shift feature for those that don’t want A to be 440 Hz or if you need to tune to accompany your out of tune friends. Get them to play a note, hit the shift key, and rotate the dial to what they thought they played. Hit the shift key again and then tune as normal. Remember to hit reset to get back to original settings at any time.

Love this app! Everything from NULLSOFT is the coolest! I am a big fan of analog equipment, and NULLSOFT mimics this device and others amazingly well with a smartphone! Only one thing, I can't seem to find the 'reset' selection, so every time I need to reset I have to uninstall then reinstall it. This is not really that big of a deal, however. As a testament to my liking of this app, however, I will say that I have never considered not reinstalling it. The simplicity is impeccable, and all off the apps that I have from NULLSOFT are amazing.

You don't have to be online to use cool tuner. But what are you listening to? One Pure Clean note that you selected. That helps you dial in the gross tuning, then switch Keuwel Tuner to listen to you to report precise metrics scaled on to a carousel dial as you find tune the pitch down to cents on a zero word changes the display the note letter to a solid. Uninstalled: Needle is very sensitive to tuning & also interface feels complex to use. No help or guide to app's interface. When I look at that rotating dial, along with it even my eyeballs feels rotating...

You should change the name, there is nothing particularly 'guitar' about this tuner. I love the layout and design BUT rubber is quite unresponsive when compared to the 30 other tuners I have compared it to (lower 3rd in responsiveness). Shame, I like the layout and design. Also needs a strobe option for real professionals and a grand stage with the notes you are playing (singular).

Bad tuner. Going down a scale, it would suddenly jump from G2 to D3 (instead of D2). Doesn't seem to register lower notes properly. Lots of spinning things displaying, but they don't seem to work. I was really looking for a dial that displays all the notes at once, as well as the octave and hz in the center.
