Unsent: See Deleted Messages

Someone sent a message, then deleted it for everyone. Unsent keeps a copy, so you can still read it.

Unsent saves incoming chat messages the moment their notification arrives. When the sender deletes or edits a message later, Unsent marks it and keeps what was there before.

WHAT YOU GET
• Deleted messages: see what was removed, marked Deleted, with when it was sent
• Edited messages: the full edit history, from the original to the latest version
• Chats: every captured conversation, with how many messages were deleted in each, and deleted lines shown right where they were in the conversation
• Capture health: if Android disconnects Unsent (after an update or a restart), the home screen tells you and reconnects with one tap
• Photos, videos and voice notes: copied the moment they arrive, so they survive a delete-for-everyone, each shown with the messages around it. Free users unlock one item at a time by watching a short video
• Light and dark: follows your phone, or choose Light or Dark in Settings

YOUR MESSAGES NEVER LEAVE YOUR PHONE
• Messages are stored on your phone only, in an encrypted database; copied photos, videos and voice notes stay in the app's private storage
• No account, no sign-up, no cloud copy, excluded from phone backups
• The app uses the network only for ads and Google Play purchases. Your messages are never sent anywhere.

UNSENT PRO
• No ads
• Open every recovered photo, video and voice note, no videos to watch
• Full-text search across everything recovered

Monthly, yearly with a 7-day free trial, or a one-time lifetime unlock.

HONEST LIMITS
• Unsent can only save what arrives as a notification. If the chat is open on screen, or notifications for it are off, there is nothing to save.
• Messages received before you installed Unsent can't be recovered.
• A photo or video must finish downloading before it can be kept. Turn on auto-download for the best results.
• Deleted messages are detected in one-to-one chats. In group chats Unsent keeps every message and every edit, but it can't reliably tell when one was deleted, so group deletions aren't marked.
• Voice notes: pick WhatsApp's Voice Notes folder once, in Settings › Voice note recovery.
• Works with WhatsApp and WhatsApp Business on Android 11 and later.

SETUP IN A MINUTE
A short guide explains what Unsent reads and asks for notification access, the one permission it needs to work. Optional steps: unrestricted battery (keeps capture running on phones that freeze background apps) and media access (for photos and videos).

Unsent is an independent app. It is not affiliated with, endorsed or sponsored by WhatsApp or Meta.
