Description
V is a dedicated vault for your two-factor authentication backup codes — the recovery codes every service gives you when you enable 2FA, and that almost everyone loses, screenshots insecurely, or forgets where they saved.
THE PROBLEM
When you enable two-factor authentication on Google, GitHub, your bank, an exchange, or any other service, you receive a set of one-time backup codes. If you ever lose access to your authenticator app, these codes are your only way back into your account. Most people store them in an unencrypted screenshot, a random text file, or a piece of paper that gets lost. V exists to fix that.
WHAT V DOES
Add each service you use 2FA with, save its backup codes, and V keeps them encrypted and organized. Mark codes as used the moment you actually use one, so you always know exactly how many valid codes remain per service. Get a local notification when a service is running low on unused codes, before you get locked out.
BUILT FOR SECURITY, NOT CONVENIENCE AT YOUR EXPENSE
Every code is encrypted with AES-256 using a key generated and stored exclusively in your device's hardware-backed Android Keystore. Your codes never leave your device: V has no internet permission, sends no data anywhere, and includes no analytics or trackers of any kind. This is not a marketing claim — the app literally cannot connect to the network.
Unlock V with your fingerprint, face recognition, or a dedicated PIN separate from your phone's lock screen. The app locks itself automatically after a short period of inactivity. Screens showing your codes are protected against screenshots and hidden from the recent apps preview. Copying a code to your clipboard clears it automatically after a few seconds.
KEY FEATURES
Encrypted local storage, backed by Android Keystore hardware security Biometric or PIN unlock, separate from your device lock Per-service code tracking, with used and remaining codes clearly visible Low code count alerts, so you never get caught with zero backup codes left Password protected PDF export, for a secure printed or offline copy Screenshot protection on every sensitive screen Automatic clipboard clearing after copying a code Zero internet permission, zero data collection, zero third party SDKs
WHO V IS FOR
Anyone who takes their account security seriously and uses two-factor authentication across multiple services — developers, IT professionals, security-conscious individuals, or simply anyone who never wants to be locked out of their Google, GitHub, banking, or crypto accounts again.
WHY OFFLINE MATTERS
Password managers and cloud note apps were not built for this specific job. V does one thing, does it with hardware-level encryption, and never asks for a single permission it does not strictly need to work. No account creation, no sign in, no sync required.
Take control of your account recovery. Download V and never lose access to your accounts again
