ValVil

ValVil is a personalized archery coaching platform named from classical Tamil, where "val" conveys strength or skill and "vil" means bow, together evoking expert mastery of the bow. It is designed to help recurve archers improve technique through structured practice, video review, and data-informed feedback. Archers can record or upload videos of their form directly from their devices, submit them for analysis, and revisit previous sessions in a personal video library. The app uses pose tracking to identify body landmarks across the shot cycle, supporting comparison of stance, draw, anchor, release, and follow-through mechanics against coach-approved reference videos. Automated analysis highlights visible differences, produces phase-based insights, and provides similarity scores that help athletes understand where their movement is consistent and where refinement may be needed. Coaches can build a roster, create a team join code, manage reference videos, review student submissions, monitor progress, and add personal feedback whenever needed. A template workflow lets coaches turn strong examples into reusable teaching standards, while evidence checks keep AI-generated guidance grounded in what is visibly supported by the source material. Team feeds and notifications keep coaches and archers connected when athletes join teams, submit videos, or receive feedback. Personal goals, competition logs, progress views, and an account profile give each athlete a central place to organize development over time. ValVil also includes secure role-based experiences for coaches and archers, ensuring that training tools, team information, and feedback are presented appropriately. With mobile-friendly navigation, in-app camera recording, portrait-first guidance, and reusable pose data, the platform brings technical analysis, coaching communication, and long-term skill tracking into one focused companion for purposeful archery practice and measurable improvement at every training stage.
