Vanilla Bean is an innovative, useful, & brilliant app, making it very easy & enjoyable locating vegan-friendly eateries in the US & Europe. There is always a clear example of the food offered, & Vanilla Bean goes a step further than other similar apps, as it also shows whether there are gluten-free choices, as well as other nice features such as whether locally sourced or organic produce is used. A highly recommended app for vegans, & also non-vegans hoping to try a delicious vegan meal near them.

It's a good idea, but this app is Sucks when it comes to recognizing U.S. city's &states, plus restaurants when u type them in. When u go to move the map to a cityscape tap th (Explore here). It expands away to a whole other 3-4 state area range. Away frm th spot u choose &tat u knw for a fact that the venue's was approved posted ones area of search choice, that this app ignored; & also when I type in a restaurant. This app still needs a lot of work!. I'm Deleting it after a month try !

Does not offer proper distance searches, e.g. when entering a location's name that itself has no entries. I use 'happy cow' most of the time and find myself just sometimes confirming results with vanilla bean.

First time using this, I soon knew it was not well-thought-out. When I tapped map, it showed the ENTIRE COUNTRY of Spain instead of a window reasonably nearby. After zooming in, it showed only the currently pinned location with no easy way to scroll through others (they should learn from the Airbnb or Happy Cow apps how this should be done). The list view didn't show distances -- who wants to tap each entry to find how far it is? The UI for filtering was a bit better than Happy Cow.
