VYP came into existence on April 2010 by upgrading erstwhile Central Research Institute for Yoga (CRIY) which was started in the year 1952 Founder by Yogacharya Sri Paresh Chandra Barman at Gohagram, Bardhaman. Co-Founder by Sri Arjun Barman and Shrimati Madhabi Barman.
