App to read the daily paper has been marginally functional, with problems loading, slow loading of pages, and refusal to display text. It has recently improved, with an apparent update, but still primitive compared to competitors (Wash Post, LA Times)

App frequently asks whether to load updated edition. Whether ok'd or cancelled it returns to first page & edition is the same. Time waster & frustrating, for no purpose!

Worst App Ever! It runs extremely slow and most of the time doesn't even respond to taps/clicks. While I'm paying for the digital version of the VC Star, I haven't been able to actually read it in over a month. If this is the "state of the art" of digital news then it will be quickly going the way of their print counterpart. If I could give this negative numbers I would, And yes, I've tried all the usual troubleshooting tricks to no avail.

What a crappy app. Don't even bother trying this app. It's slow unresponsive and makes trying to read the paper an impossible task. Same with logging into the E edition. How hard is it to make a PDF of the paper and use a PDF reader. PDF's of a newspaper in the Kindle app work great. What the hell is Scripps and the star thinking? Don't try to reinvent the wheel with your hack programmers. Please rethink this app!
