Description

Visual Interactive Communication and Reading Aid (VICARA) adalah aplikasi AAC gratis yang didedikasikan untuk semua orang dengan keterbatasan atau kesulitan dalam melakukan komunikasi verbal. VICARA berisi koleksi kartu komunikasi bergambar digital dan menggunakan Google Text to speech untuk menghasilkan kata yang diucapkan dalam Bahasa Indonesia dan Inggris berdasarkan teks pada setiap kartu. Versi pertamanya dikembangkan pada tahun 2013 sedangkan versi kedua dikembangkan pada tahun 2018. Aplikasi ini adalah VICARA versi 3.0 yang merupakan hasil kemitraan interdisipliner oleh London School of Public Relations (LSPR) Jakarta dan ICT Watch Indonesia, bekerja sama dengan Universitas Tarumanagara Jakarta.
