Although I have some problems with the progression and monetization, the underlying game is great. I love the variety of options that the game gives. The perks' system is generally really fun and helps augment or even allow for new niche strategies. The main problem that it shares with the devs previous game (Trench Warfare) is that it crashes semi frequently. Screen turns blank while things are clickable. It happens much less than Trench Warfare so that's an improvement I guess.

It's fun. Reminiscent of Kingdom Rush but with a build economy, hero customization, and roguelike upgrades all combined. I just started and am on the first few levels, but I anticipate hitting a "wall" eventually where I'll need to grind upgrades before having the strength to finish a level, but that's what these games are about. Having a turn on/affable helpful hints option in the beginning for newer players aside from the tutorial might help newer players adjust to genre of the game quicker.

Really expensive in-game items. Barely any weapons. Just get to a certain point in the game and have to wait for RNG to give you good enough stuff to progress or watch a thousand ads to get good stuff. L game

I cannot believe they're not supporting trench warfare and made this game. I've played it now for a couple of hours. And it's not entertaining at all. Very boring. You'll just upgrade bits of your camp and have an endless waves of monsters. Not very good at all. A massive rethink I would put more effort into trench warfare

EDIT: I still really like this game, but there is CLEARLY a point in the game, when necromancers are introduced, that is designed to make you want to spend money to win. It's extremely obvious because you have a moderately difficult time getting through the game and then BAM all of a sudden you can't keep up on health, damage, or defense. There's also an INSANE amount of resources that have to be put into upgrades for equipment after epic level. The drop rates are also awful for equipment.
