Best sight-reading app I've found I've been hunting for this app for a while. I'm teaching myself to play violin and learning to sight-read is probably the most difficult obstacle so far for me. This app removed the tedium for me. It made it entertaining instead of discouraging. Seriously if you're trying to learn, buy the full version, you won't regret it. Wonderful app!! Allows yourself to self quiz the fingerboards of violin, viola, cello and double bass for a small purchase price. The app includes all four instruments. The app allows you to choose to see the notes arranged on the fingerboard, or no letter names of the notes on the fingerboard. The app produces the musical notes on a staff appropriate for your instrument, and you touch the fingerboard in the appropriate place to mark where that note lies. You can select to have all or only some of the strings appear on the fingerboard. I love this app and use it to learn the notes of the viola and violin. You can purchase only for one instrument. Or, buy the String Quartet app and get access to all 4 string instruments.

What's up with several installations Confusing. You have to install two different apps to have String Quartet fully available. If you uninstall the paid one, string quartet revert to unpaid status. You will have to reinstall the paid one and then uninstall and reinstall string quartet back again. Confusing? I also think so.

touchpad is off by one note for cello. Eg, when pressing C it gives you C#, press C# it gives you D and so on. Disappointed.
