Virtual Choir: Video Editor

Make virtual choir videos on your phone

Virtual Choir is a video editor for choirs, ensembles, music teachers and singers who record every part themselves. Each person records at home over the same backing track, and the app lines up the takes, arranges them on one split screen and exports the finished video.

How it works
1. Add the base: the backing track, guide track or conductor video (audio or video file).
2. Record your part with the camera while the base plays in your headphones, or import the videos your singers send you.
3. Sync: Auto-Sync compares the audio and lines up every take. Fine-tune any track to the millisecond.
4. Scenes: choose how the videos are arranged on the screen.
5. Timeline: place your scenes along the song and add transitions.
6. Export: save the video to your gallery and share it.

Key features

• Recording for singers: hear the base, earlier takes and a metronome while you record. Use a count-in, loop a section to rehearse, label your part (Soprano, Alto, Tenor, Bass or your own) and watch a reference video, such as the conductor. Record with the front or back camera, or audio only.

• Latency correction: new takes are aligned with the base automatically. A short tap test calibrates Bluetooth headphones.

• Auto-Sync and mixer: align takes by their sound, then set the volume and pan of each track, mute or solo tracks, match all volumes in one tap and remove low rumble with a high-pass filter.

• Scene layouts: start from ready-made layouts (solo, duo, trio, quartet, 3 × 3 choir, pyramid, featured singer, picture in picture or a grid with all videos). Then move, resize and frame each video, and set the background, spacing, corners and borders.

• Picture adjustments: adjust exposure, contrast, white balance and saturation, apply looks such as B&W, Warm or Vintage, and even out the colors of all videos in one tap.

• Timeline: change scenes with the music using cuts, dissolves, fades to black or white, or a morph where the videos glide to their new places. Add markers, snap to beats and bars, and export only part of the song, with fade in and fade out.

• Export for any screen: landscape, portrait, square or Story/Reel format. Export in high quality, as a smaller 720p file for messaging apps, or as sound only (M4A) to send the final mix to your musicians.

• 8 languages: English, Portuguese, Spanish, French, German, Hindi, Russian and Chinese.
