Track your walking using GPS or a treadmill, and use your accumulated miles towards different walking routes around the world. Even if you are just walking on your treadmill at home, circling your neighborhood, or walking on your local high school track, you can challenge yourself to complete the Appalachian Trail or take a tour of the memorials in Washington D.C. There are plenty of walks to choose from, with many more on the way!
Each route has something different to offer. While on your treadmill or with GPS outside, "walk" past landmarks on your route, view rich content including high quality pictures and information that sounds like it came straight from a tour guide. But don't think it comes so easy, information about landmarks are locked until you reach them!
Treadmill setting works by setting the speed in the Virtual Walk app to match the speed on your treadmill at home. If outside, use GPS instead. The GPS is very accurate. Virtual Walk automatically detects a low GPS signal and shuts down to save battery life.
Virtual Walk works as a daily fitness tracker. Virtual Walk automatically keeps track of your time and mileage while you are walking and logs it in a nice format for you to review later. Longer routes can be done in multiple days, as Virtual Walk will save your progress automatically when you are finished, so that you can start where you left off tomorrow.

Very nice app I do a lot of treadmill walking and it can be very boring. I just installed this and walked one of the trails. Lots of education and great pictures. The only thing I wish it did was have the map follow you. You walk off the end of the map and have to manually move it. Other then that its great. Could use a few more free maps, but I understand the need to make a few bucks :).

I don't get it This isn't a virtual walk, it's just a map with a highlighted line. Even the street view isn't like we are walking a trail. Let me know if I'm missing something because the reviews are all pretty good, I just don't get it.

WASTE OF TIME!!! This IS NOT a "Virtual Walk Treadmill"!!! YOU are supposed to ACTUALLY walk in the exact spots with this app running on your phone or tablet... For example, you actually have to go to Central Park in NYC and run their app while walking their designed course. IT HAS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO DO WITH THE TREADMILL!!! IT'S NOT VIRTUAL SCENERY!!! I hate when app creators create the title of their app around something popular that people want and would download BUT, their app has ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with that popular concept that people ACTUALLY WANT... They do this just so people will download... SUCH CRAP AND GARBAGE!!! I WILL BOYCOTT any other product or app that Virtual Walk LLC has!!! THIS COMPANY IS A BUNCH OF SNEAKY SOBS!!!! I AM VERY ANGRY for doing this to people and trying to trick them into downloading their CRAPPY, GOOD FOR NOTHING, WASTE OF TIME APP!!! I'd include a few "choice" words here, but I can't unfortunately.
