VOCAL 4A Pro

VOCAL for Android is a further development of the older VOCAL for Windows which has been in daily use with various cargo airlines for many years. VOCAL is intended for use in the commercial sales and space control/reservations departments of all participants in the air cargo business, for airlines, airfreight forwarders and shippers.

VOCAL checks the loadability of a specified airfreight shipment; Just enter the dimensions, the number of pieces and their weights, select the aircraft type and VOCAL calculates whether the shipment is loadable, and, in addition, calculates the volume, the standard chargeable weight and the volume ratio.

But the main functionality of VOCAL is for aircraft with palletized cargo. For these aircraft types VOCAL also calculates the approximate pallet space required and recommends an increased chargeable weight in case the required pallet space is significantly higher than the standard volume weight.

Additional features include:

- a choice between the units to be used: inches, centimetres, kilos and pounds can be selected and used for calculation and results.

- the standard dimensions tables are used for the calculation. These tables can also be displayed.

- the standard maximum weights per pallet are taken into account

- the results for various pieces with different dimensions and weights are displayed in a summary screen with totals

- for overlapping pieces the height is adjusted accordingly to take the spreaders into account

- for aircraft types with maindeck and lowerdeck pallets both options are calculated and the better result is displayed

- for B747-F an alternative calculation for side--door loading is performed in case nosedoor loading is not possible

- non-stackable cargo can be specified and the calculation takes this into account
