Voice Changer: Funny Effects

Voice Changer turns your voice into something silly. Tap the big mic, say something, then tap an effect and hear yourself as a robot, a chipmunk, a giant or a voice on an old radio. Save the clips you like and share them with friends.

HOW IT WORKS
1. Tap the mic and say something funny — a joke, a birthday message, a line from a game
2. Tap the mic again to stop; your recording plays back straight away with the effect you picked
3. Tap other effects to hear the same recording again in a new voice
4. Like one? Save it to your library, give it a name and share it

RECORD IN ONE TAP
• A large record button, a running clock and a live level meter so you know the mic is picking you up
• Free recordings run up to 1 minute
• When you stop, your voice plays back straight away with the effect you picked
• Too short? The app tells you to hold on a little longer instead of saving an empty clip

IMPORT AUDIO YOU ALREADY HAVE
• Not in the mood to record? Pick an audio file from your phone and apply the same effects to it
• Works with common formats such as WAV, MP3 and M4A, depending on what your phone can decode
• Up to 3 minutes of a file is imported; longer files are trimmed and the app tells you so

TIPS
• Hold the phone about a hand's width from your mouth for the cleanest result
• Short, clear sentences work best with Robot, Alien and Telephone
• Reverse is the fun one: say a word, play it backwards, then try to say it backwards yourself
• If the microphone is busy, close any other app that is recording and try again

QUESTIONS
• Do I need an internet connection to change my voice? No — recording and effects run on your phone.
• Where are my clips? In "My recordings" inside the app. They stay on this phone until you share or delete them.
• What format are saved clips? WAV, which plays in almost any app.

HAVE FUN, BE KIND
Voice Changer is for jokes, games and creative clips. Don't use it to impersonate anyone, to trick people out of money or information, or to harass anyone, and ask before you record or share someone else's voice.

PRIVACY
The app only uses the microphone while you are recording. Your voice is processed on your phone and is never uploaded; a clip leaves your phone only when you share it yourself. Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics help us see which features get used and fix crashes; they never receive audio, and you can switch them off in Settings.

• Saved clips live in the app's own folder, so no storage or contacts permission is needed
