Voice to Text Notes: ZapNote

ZapNote is a private, offline-first notebook that combines voice notes, checklists, and a secure password vault in one app. It is built for people who want to capture ideas quickly, stay organized, and keep sensitive information away from the cloud.

Unlike apps that require an account and sync everything to a server, ZapNote stores your notes, tasks, and passwords locally on your device. There is no mandatory sign-up, and no personal data is sent to external servers. You stay in control.

VOICE TO TEXT, WITHOUT THE TYPING
Tap the microphone and speak naturally. ZapNote converts your speech to text in real time using advanced speech recognition. This is useful for recording a quick thought, dictating a meeting summary, or taking notes when your hands are busy. You can edit the transcribed text afterward just like any other note.

NOTES THAT FIT YOUR STYLE
Create text notes with a clean editor. Choose from over 50 icons and four card styles: classic notebook, glassmorphism, cute, and minimalist. Tag notes by topic—work, study, or personal—so you can find them later with a quick search.

CHECKLISTS WITH PROGRESS TRACKING
Turn any note into a checklist. Add tasks, reorder them by dragging, and watch the completion percentage update as you check items off. Set local reminders on your device so important tasks do not slip through.

A SECURE VAULT FOR PASSWORDS
Store login credentials in an encrypted vault protected by a PIN, fingerprint, or face unlock using Android’s biometric system. The vault automatically assigns icons and colors to common categories such as social media, email, banking, and internal tools. A built-in password health check flags weak or reused passwords, and a random password generator creates strong credentials with one tap.

PRIVACY BY DESIGN
ZapNote does not require an online account. Your notes, checklists, and passwords are kept in the app’s private storage on your device. You can manually export a password-protected JSON backup file to move your data to a new phone. There is no mandatory cloud sync, and no third-party analytics tracking your content.

DESIGNED FOR DAILY USE
Switch between light and dark themes that follow your system settings. Accidentally deleted a note? The trash bin lets you review and restore it. Share a note as a styled image or export it as a multi-page PDF.

WHO IT IS FOR
• Students who want to record lectures and get searchable text notes.
• Professionals who need to capture meeting minutes and action items without typing.
• Anyone who prefers to keep passwords and private notes off the cloud.
• People who value a fast, offline tool for daily planning.

ZapNote is a focused, privacy-conscious notebook. It does not try to be a social platform or a cloud productivity suite. It is a simple, reliable place for your notes, tasks, and passwords—stored on your device, under your control.
