The voice pitch analysis works best with an external microphone! It will work without an external microphone but please be-aware that results may vary as the voice pitch analysis requires a relatively quiet environment and some phone microphones can pickup a lot of background noise.
This tool is designed to act as a voice recorder/playback/analyser tool but with useful information such as voice pitch, tones, & volume with resonance and phonetics to be added at a later date. It is mostly intended for use as part of voice therapy, and users should be aiming to use the tool for about 5 minutes a day over several months. It does not provide lessons or guidance, it is intended to be used as a tool to assist with voice therapy and not as a replacement for voice therapy.

=Free= This app is available in two flavors; a free advert supported version, and a paid advert-free version. You can remove the adverts via an in-app purchase in the settings screen.

Amazing. I use it almost entirely for the spectrogram as I find it works better than other apps I've tried for tracking vocal resonance. On top of that it can track formant 1 and formant 2. And depending on your use case you can choose the spectrogram to top out at 4khz or 8khz. When I need more detail I go with the 4khz setting. When I want to monitor resonance up to 7khz I go with the 8khz setting. All spectrogram apps I have tried need larger font for frequencies, but this has so many pros.

IDK, maybe I'm too much of a realist but the whole detecting if it's a male/female voice is so off base I can't imagine how many people transitioning have gotten bad advice from this app. I can do a perfect fem voice with no issue and the app reads me as male. If I do the most high shrill unrealistic voice, reads me as 100% female, this app doesn't measure resonance, it only measures pitch. This app was useless for learning how to have or use a fem voice.

The app was very useful for a long time. Now, like apparently a lot of other reviewers, I can't use it because the app doesn't detect my microphone and has a big lag when trying to click something. Reinstalling doesn't help, and I've confirmed my mic works fine otherwise.
