Now you can choose a transcript from a selection of possible best matches before start editing!
This application is an automatic voice transcriber (in proof of concept phase), thought to be used in interviews.
Now you can save your transcriptions in a text file or a PDF file from your mobile phone.
This is how it works: Tap "Transcribe". Do your speech recording and when it's finished choose from a selection of possible best transcripts before start editing. Do your corrections and tap "Save".
There is still a lot of things to do and improve like the ability to fix bad recognised words and punctuation. Feel free to send me sugestions to improve this app in the comments of this Google Play Store page.
Known issues: - If you use SlimICS Rom, you will need to install the addon VoiceSearch. If your terminal does not have this addon it will crash when you tap "Transcribe" button. - In Jelly Bean is known that the time the program waits for a 5 second silence is unexpectedly reduced to less than a second. - In some devices the program may stop recording if the screen dims or if the user taps outside the recording box.
Those issues are pending to be fixed soon in next updates.

Works kind of well Just an issue - it stops automatically when there's a pause and have to manually start it again. Should have a feature to keep it running or transcribing till the user stops it.

Needs append feature There needs to be an append feature that is enabled by default (checkbox). Either make it so that each time that you click on "Transcribe" it appends to what has been transcribed into the app (this is preferable, because users will understand it more readily), or make it so that it appends to the file each time that you save, clearing transcription buffer on completion (this is more preferable in low memory situations, preventing crashes). I would prefer both types of append to be enabled by default.

Great transcription - but then what? Does an excellent job converting speech to text - clearly superior to the built-in app - but it does not link to any other app. Text can be saved but the file has to be retrieved by a separate app. 4 stars given in hope.

Cancels when hit screen Whenever i hit anywhere outside of the little box it cancels the transcription, even when i am reading the transcription and my screen dims I tap my screen and it cancels. There is no done button, yiu have to wait until it gets quiet to stop. Doesn't get alot of words correct (fax us = fat chicks) LOL

Does not work at all! I thought I'd use this to write a short story. I tried just one sentence over 5 times with various voice modulations. I did not get a single correct transcription! The same sentence was transcribed perfectly by my phones voice search app on 2nd try. Uninstalling now.

Where is Spanish? I downloaded the app SPECIFICALLY for Spanish transciption. The pictures actually show Spanish being transcribed. How do I change mine from English to Spanish?
