Comments on Volfix - volume control fix for Android

★★★★★ Shane Stenson · Oct 31, 2021

Awesome app. Thank you for making this app. Now the volume buttons control my ringtone/notifications instead of the media volume. Not sure why Google didn't do this in Android. Works great on my pixel 6 pro.

★★★★★ Ava Brite · Jan 1, 2023

Fixes google's half-baked decision to have the volume rocker buttons not control the ring volume. These big companies just don't get it. Really shouldn't have to use an app to do this. Pixel 7 running the glitchy 13 os, definitely the last pixel I ever buy.

★★☆☆☆ J Clark · Jul 29, 2026

The newest Samsung update solved the screenshot issue, but Vol fix no longer seems to work. And turning volume down also means turning alarms down while notifications l go untouched. It should be notifications and rings that go down while alarms remain at preset volume.

★☆☆☆☆ Nauman Khan · Aug 9, 2022

Does not work. The default control on rocker is still media control after allowing all the permissions and enabling the app.

★★☆☆☆ Patreeko theArtist · Jan 28, 2024

I feel like android is gaslighting us by changing what the physical buttons do. I use my phone as a PHONE, not as a media device. Sadly it does not work on my phone... hitting the volume buttons makes the levels gitter up and dowo. Sigh.

★☆☆☆☆ Matt Blais · Jul 26, 2022

Not working on Samsung Galaxy S10 😢 Edit: My stock Galaxy S10 does NOT have linked ring and notification volumes.
