Volleyball Rotation & Tactics

RallyBoard is a volleyball tactics board built by a coach, for coaches and PE teachers. Draw a play in seconds, set your lineup and rotations, animate the rally and keep score courtside, all in one app.

Tactics board
• Drag players onto a full or half court, with numbers, names and positions (S, OH, MB, OPP, L)
• Draw arrows, dashed lines and free paths for runs and ball flight
• Place cones, disc cones, ladders, rings, mats, target zones and ball carts to set up a drill
• Start from ready-made serve-receive formations (W, half-moon, 3-player)

Animated plays
• Save positions frame by frame and play the rally back smoothly
• Play once, loop or ping-pong, with adjustable speed
• Export as an animated GIF or a frame sheet for your team chat (Pro)

Rotation board
• Enter your starting lineup and see R1 to R6, whether you run a 5-1, a 6-2 or your own system
• The libero swaps in for a back-row player automatically and does not serve
• Edit the serve-receive formation for each rotation and save it
• Overlap check that follows the FIVB 2025–2028 rules: the serving team is not checked for position faults. Prefer the stricter US way (USA Volleyball, NCAA, NFHS)? Turn on the check for the serving team in one tap
• Overlap auto-align and snap move players to a legal spot (Pro)

Match mode
• One tap per point. When the receiving team wins the rally, it rotates and takes the serve automatically
• Undo restores the score, player positions and serve together, and the court lock keeps players from being moved by accident
• Set up the match your way: points per set, final-set points and number of sets
• Set-over and match-over cards, with a court switch between sets

Play gallery
• 13 ready-made plays and drills with frames already in place: 5-1 serve receive R1 to R6, read-block shifts, free-ball transition, base defense after the serve, a butterfly serve-receive drill, queen of the court (3v3) and a three-player passing triangle
• Open one, edit it and save it as your own

Share and organize
• Share a board as a PNG image, or as a web play link anyone can open in a browser
• Player names are left out of shared links, and a link you receive can be imported into the app
• Keep player rosters with names and numbers on your device
• Your work is saved automatically, with a full backup you can export
• Works offline (the gallery and play links need a connection), on phones and tablets, in portrait or landscape
