I enjoy the encouragement to pray for those suffering persecution, watching the children's movies and movie biographies missionaries and lay Christians. There are other programs about those living in countries in which they are being persecuted for their faith. It's all helpful for strengthening one's faith and learning how to pray more knowledgeably for others.

Rating is solely on the update. One of my favorite parts of the old app is that I was able to click, "Learn more about (Country)" with the country of the day. It helped me know how to better pray for the country. I haven't found a way to learn more about the country with this app. Until then, I'll mostly be using the old app. Thankful for the work the Lord is doing through VOM. I don't see how to find more info about countries we are praying for with the new app. I do not like the badges. I should be praying because The Holy Spirit is encouraging me to and out of love. Not because I will get a badge. To me, it has brought materialism into this app.

I've supported the Voice of the Martyrs, both in prayer and financially, for years, and will continue to do so. The old VOM "Pray Today" app was one of the first things I checked every morning. However, the new, completely "updated" app is a disappointment. It's been loaded down with some very good features, but has lost its simplicity and ease of use. It will undoubtedly be a blessing to new users. I removed it, and will rely on the VOM wall calendar for specific requests.
