โ˜…โ˜…โ˜…โ˜…โ˜… Would give 5 stars, but control scheme kinda sucks. Left and right for movement is ok, but there needs to be a circular movement track/stick/thing in the middle as an option, since the ship moves circularly. Would be much better with a toggle option for a central circular control area.
โ˜…โ˜…โ˜…โ˜…โ˜… Vortex makes me nostalgic for when mobile games were actually games rather than time-wasters. It's simple, polished to a shine, and it's fun. There are so many little interactions you wouldn't expect, like when your shots ricochet off the blocks they can go on to hit enemies or other obstacles, or like how your shots knock enemies around, but if they get knocked into obstacles they take damage. Mobile games should strive to be as good as this more often.
โ˜…โ˜…โ˜…โ˜…โ˜… This thing... it's a bit nut. It starts off with a nice quick pace - and it just keeps getting faster from there. I like the pixelated/pixelated(?) graphics and the general art style. It reminds me of an old arcade game whose name I can't remember now, but has a similar premise (shooting enemies and avoiding obstacles in a tubular area), so it's got some nostalgia factor for me. My only two gripes is thag there's no dedicated pause button or a dedicated fire button.
โ˜…โ˜…โ˜†โ˜†โ˜† I don't make much progress and just keep restarting. This feels really dull and boring if your ship doesn't even grow with abilities. Not interested to pay for points at all... I hate p2w
