VPN.AC is a security-focused VPN service operated by professionals with a strong background in Information Security, Linux and Networking.
VPN.AC Client for Android encrypts all mobile traffic using state-of-the-art Elliptic Curve Cryptography and AES GCM ciphers.

Ultra-fast gigabit servers located in over 20 countries on 4 continents ensure very good latency for mobile connections.
Both UDP and TCP connections are possible using multiple ports to by-pass firewalls.
Auto-reconnect on system boot and network change.
Geo-location included in the app to display your IP address and location.
Easy choose VPN server location from drop-down menu.
Server list is always up-to-date.
Ability to use or exclude the VPN for selected apps.

Encryption Details:

- Elliptic Curve Cryptography (ECC) using 256-bit Koblitz curve secp256k1 for keys; SHA512 HMAC and AES-128-GCM for data-channel.
- RSA-4096; SHA512 or SHA256 and AES-256-GCM or AES-128-GCM for data channels.
- PFS is enabled with 1-hour rekey interval.

I think that this VPN is good as outside of leaks it worked very well. WebRTC's leaks were the problem that I could not get fixed despite several hours of trying various options to prevent the leaks. I contacted the company and was told to use a certain browser extension for the WebRTC leaks. However, firefox no longer supports the recommended extension nor does firefox support hardly any other extension dealing with this issue. Firefox also precludes the use of "config:" now.

I use it in China. Works pretty well. Holds and auto reconnects well on mobile. Occasionally there are periods with difficulty connecting, but that happens with all commercial VPNs.

It has worked well for years in China. Recent update Oct 31st 2025, incompatible with my phone, so I had to revert to the previous version.

Useless if you want to use in China. And worst thing is customer support is 0. You get no support for any ticket and even if someone replies that will be so rude. They expect you be now everything. don't recommend for china. I have used it 4 years and this is my 4th year and I gave it chances again and again but now I am done with it. Will never buy again.

This app worked well until the recent certificate update. After reinstalling the app to get the newest version with the updated certificate, the app crashes frequently and will disconnect itself on It's own with no notification.

What is another letter of credit? Why don't you let everyone use a good VPN? We who are in the embargoed country, where can we buy a letter of credit and a bank account? 8 countries are embargoed and nearly one billion people

I joined many years ago, and over the years observed less and less frequent updates, no development of infrastructure, tools frozen on how they were years ago, no improvements, no new services. About 2 years ago VPN.AC completely stopped progressing. Sadly this once very promising VPN is slowly dying. I have cancelled my account and moved to another provider. Avoid, there are many alive and active providers.

The latest version has bugs that make it impossible to connect to the internet. Needed to go back to version 1.1.47 to make it work on phone. Technical support, please look into it.
