Probably not for everyone Good for me because I submit my own AIS feed and the program is free. Otherwise it will cost you. For most people you will probably find marine traffic better - it also has better coverage. That said, VT explorer does load the ships really fast, (about 10 times faster on my phone with a slow mobile connection). Also the maps it uses - at least in my local port - is more detailed and has berth numbers marked. The position update is 30 seconds - which makes the positions much more up to date than marine traffic.

Not free Might be a fine app, but I couldn't verify this because most of the features are turned off in demo mode. You can't search for a ship, and the location data is out of date.

Too expensive & very poor. Doesn't do anything the free marine traffic app doesn't do. Ridiculously expensive subscription, Uninstalled immediately.
