By WA Fish Forecast, from Google Play“Washington fishing app - salmon and trout fishing reports, fish counts and rules”
Description by WA Fish Forecast Written by the developer, not by AppBrain. Click to read.
All season, WDFW counts the salmon and steelhead coming back to the hatcheries, checks anglers at the boat ramps and stocks lakes across the state. WA Fish Forecast turns all of it into one clear answer: where the fish are today, and when to go.
Independent, not government: WA Fish Forecast is not a government app and does not represent WDFW, NOAA, USGS or any other agency. Every number comes from a public source, and each one is linked at the end.
YOUR WATERS, FIRST THING
• Your spots: every water you save, each showing its newest fish count, catch rate or stocking, in the order you choose
• Hot right now: today's best waters, straight from Top Spots
• Every river, lake and marine area in Washington, by name or nearest first, with a slider for how far you'll drive
• Every fish with a statewide report: pick one to see where it's showing
FIND WHERE THEY'RE BITING
• Top Spots ranks today's best waters for each species, from the newest fish counts and catch rates
• Near me narrows the ranking to what you can drive to
• A fishing report for every species: the best bets right now and where the run stands
• Dashboards for more than 1,700 rivers, lakes and marine areas
• A map of every water, hatchery and public boat launch
SEE THE RUN AS IT COMES IN
• Hatchery returns, Columbia River dam counts and Ballard Locks counts, exactly as WDFW and the agencies publish them
• Creel reports from the ramps: anglers checked, fish counted and catch per angler
• This year's run against a normal year, so you can tell at a glance if it's early, late, big or small
• Lake stocking: what was planted, where and when
• Weather, wind, tides and river flow for the water you're looking at
KNOW THE RULES BEFORE YOU GO
• Each water's regulations, quoted exactly as WDFW prints them, with a link to the official page
• Emergency rule changes and closures as soon as WDFW announces them, with a notification for the waters you save
• Netting schedules that can affect the fishing
FISH WITH WASHINGTON'S ANGLERS
• Post catch reports with photos and video: what you caught, where and on what
• Follow other anglers, like, comment and message
• Log catches on your profile: trips, waters, best day and fish by species
• Earn points, levels and achievements, and climb the monthly leaderboard to Top Angler
• Report or block any angler from a post, comment, profile or chat
ANGLER+: NEVER MISS THE RUN
• Alerts by push, text or email the moment new counts land at a water you follow
• The best times to go over the next five days, for your water and your species
• Every past season on every chart (free shows this year against a normal year)
Free to use, no account needed. Sign in with Google, Facebook or email to save spots, post reports and message other anglers.
