Makes finding studs simple! If you're like me, you've struggled with magnetic stud finders that are more or less accurate and can leave you driving a screw into unsupported drywall. The Walabot solves that issue. Simply connect via USB and calibrate, and it literally shows you where the studs are. It's easier and more accurate than any consumer-grade magnetic finder. Highly recommend. Only caveat: the adhesive pad is sticky. Find something to keep it clean and dry.

Bad experience. Requires GPS to be turned on to pair... I don't share my location with any app. I tried it anyway, and it identified 1" pipes the same way as 4" pipes. The app is very slow, and then it just crashed. I'm returning this thing. It's too rudimentary, and crashing apps are bad apps.

Does not work on plaster walls. Also needs Wi-Fi in order to work. Every time your phone goes to sleep the phone and Walabot will need to reconnect. You spend most of your time connecting to the device, and then it doesn't work. If your problem is finding studs on flat 1/2 inch drywall than this is the tool for you. If there is texture to the wall, or it's any material other than just one sheet of drywall then this is as useless as a $10 stud finder. Don't waste your money.

The Walabot DIY 2 is great. The app kind of sucks. The calibration guide will not turn off. I've already un- and re-installed the app. It's so annoying that it doesn't, by default, turn off after the first calibration, if it would turn off at all. It's stupid. It's also annoying when, while in expert mode, a notification pops up that image mode is recommended, which you have to dismiss. Why?? I can clearly see that I can switch to image mode if I want. This DOES NOT HELP anything.
