So, just to be clear, this app is necessary for the use of the Gear Waves Mini Printer. When I saw the printer in the store it said on the box that it used "inkless printing". It also shows the printer producing output in color at a high resolution. The printer uses thermal paper which is how it is inkless. This also means it cannot possibly print, nor at a high resolution as suggested in the box photo. It prints in low res black and white, which was fine for me but may not be for you.

Cannot use app. Requires you to create an account and sign in. Requires you to have a sim card in your device (needs sms code for registration). Why does it need these things? Renders my printer useless.

There are no updates to improve picture quality. There is no feature to increase the length of the image. And the printer prints the words blur because the app doesn't do any adjustment to the note or image. So please do something because my printer is able to connect with another app. And I have no options.
