Fantastic addition to my Home lab. I run Wallaby in a docker container, along with Freshrss and saving articles from my Rss feed to wallaby is seamless. Along press or right-click on the article description in Freshrss send the link to wallaby, and ready to read in the wallaby app. Takes a bit to get dialed in but once you do, Wallaby and the wallaby app is the way to go for distraction free reading.

Import of articles from Pocket took a few days but worked in the end. I'm using the paid hosting on Wallabag.it, since self-hosting is not a project I need right now.

Wallaby is better than Pocket in many ways. For example, better reading view and a more accurate bookmark when returning to an article. Wallaby also includes article search as a standard feature. For a fifth star, please implement tag renaming!

With pocket now gone, I needed to find another. This turns out to be perfect and knew within seconds of using it that its worth the €11 a year to use their servers for the service. Apps great. Would be nice if you could highlight, but overall brilliant.

Was great, but since a few weeks saving articles doesn't work. I can't log out and log in again every time before saving an article, so this app is useless. Tried to delete my account: internal server error. Back to pocket!

I just wish they’d make these apps and how to work them much easier than they currently do. I came across wallaby on an alternative to Pocket and GrabMyBooks site and decided to give it a run, liking the fact it was open source and free. But my problems were just about to start. First, on the Chrome version, it asks for a domain name. Well, I don’t understand such stuff about domain names, etc. I can just about turn on my computer. So, after a time, I decided to leave the Chrome extension and give the android app a run instead; surely this would be a lot simpler; a piece of cake, I thought. I then downloaded and installed the app, only to have the same type of issues about domains for a second time. I then went online and, after a while, set up an account with wallaby and found that I could then get the app working, without knowing about domains or being a tech wizard. But then I noticed that I was on a trial period, after which, as I read it, I’d have to take out some kind of subscription to continue using the app/account. So, at this point, I deleted my account, removed the app from my phone and browser, and wished I’d never bothered in the first place. 1 star.
