I absolutely love Warhammer and having a mobile game with a huge character selection to unlock and play just makes it a million times better. The events are fun, currently Armageddon is going on. But unlocking a bunch of stuff is great! Only real downside is getting enough to unlock more characters takes a huuuuge amount of grinding unless you want to purchase the resources and even then, characters aren't a guarantee. Overall, I hace loved my experience on Tactics and will continue playing!

You have to pay to play, and watch ads. The gameplay is mediocre at best, and the story is garbage.

The game reels you in with easy early missions, then aggressively power-creeps starter units. Enemies start to one-cycle your team, and winning relies entirely on RNG and lucky crits going both ways. The energy system ruins the grind. You run out fast when farming upgrade loot, forcing you to wait or pay. Plus, menu navigation bombards you with cash-grab popups. Overall, free characters become obsolete fast. You must buy new units or face severe daily time gates just to make minimal progress.

Tried it again a few years later and this is still a pure money grab. Unlocking characters take upwards if 250 shards and a quest will reward between 1-4. Any better quest that mught reward more is locked behind a pass. At any time the game will ask you for upwards of €100 for temporary passes in order to actually play current content. Might be the most predatory game on the App store. Edit: Got a response from the developer that confirms the fact that if you're behind you'll pay to catch up.
