Comments on Watch Reader - eBook on Wear for Android

★★★★★ Andy W · Jan 5, 2025

Works well, and means I'll always have a book with me wherever I go. After I did the purchase I had to reboot my watch before I could send to it, but right now I've got a hefty Mark Twain set of stories downloaded from project Gutenberg. I've seen a couple of other reviews here and maybe a tutorial mode or document would be helpful for them. But I'm definitely a happy user and customer

★★★★☆ Adam Karsznia · Mar 27, 2026

Fulfills its purpose, though you must convert to .txt file, then on the phone app load the book first and then send to watch while having app open on the watch during this time. Great for when you want bite-sized reading, and it's too rude to pull the phone out.

★★★★★ Matilde A. Vega · Jan 17, 2023

It's tricky to use, but once you get ahold of it, it's great. I really like it.

★☆☆☆☆ Dash Makes · Feb 3, 2025

Was excited to read books on my watch. The watch app works fine enough, except I couldn't open any books from the watch's storage, so I downloaded the app for my phone, only to discover I had to find a website to convert my .epub to a .txt. After that, when I tried to send the book to the watch, it asks me to buy premium. Why? I just decided to sideload Book's Story from F-Droid onto the watch and used some ADB to get working, and it works perfectly and is far more useful than this app was.

★★☆☆☆ Garrett Hardy · Feb 13, 2022

It's a sample, must pay. Good idea, other free reader works instead.
