The speciality of WatchCheck is, that as reference time only precise time sources such as NTP (network time protocol) and GPS are used, but never the imprecise internal clock of your device (mobile phone or tablet). With GPS you can do precise measurings even when there's no data network available, e.g. when you're abroad.
If you worry about the "precise location" right, it is required only for retrieving the accurate reference time via GPS in case you don't have network access.

A must-have app for watch enthusiasts. I use this app in conjunction with Wild Spectra Lite to help me regulate my watches by myself for free. With Watch Check I can get average deviation in seconds per day with my daily pattern of usage, for example 12 hours worn and 12 hours resting in dial up position. With that information I regulate my watches using wild spectra lite, then check the result again with Watch Check. If the result is not satisfactory, I regulate it again. Rinse and repeat.

What's amazing about this app?? Its accuracy is zero, zilch, nada! My quartz watch is around 1 second too fast. This "Watch Check" app is measuring only 0.3 seconds too fast which is ridiculous. The only good thing concerning this app is that it's totally free. Keeping you from losing money. I've purchased the Gold Edition of "Atomic Clock & Watch Accuracy Tool (with NTP Time)". That was a big mistake because it's not measuring the tenths of a second. So that app is also useless too me....
