This series (3 books completed so far) is an amazing read. I've reread these many times over the last few years. The author is fantastic at what they do. There are 4 romance options and many stats that affect how the story unfolds. The romance is an INCREDIBLY, FRUSTRATINGLY, slow-burn, with only mild flirting in the 1st book. However, I do feel the story is engaging enough that you don't really feel it as a big loss. Your choices are widely varied and affect the plot but not really the ending.

Well I like the story but one thing that made me to give 1-star rating is cuz it didn't stated that we need to sign up for the choiceofgame acc to be able to save our subscription. What if I want to read it again but in different device it means I need to pay it again just because I can't save my subscription. Ugh! It should have stated not just in the beginning of the game but even at the end. oh lord.

Decent story overall, but both this and the 2nd book which I purchased are clearly made to be for a female lead. The lead is always referred to as a, or a daughter, despite making indicating that the game could be played as a male. Even the clothing options are clearly mainly for a woman. No attempts to make this or the next book relevant to males who might want to play as a male. Disappointed. Will change the rating if this is changed.
