Description
Songwriters are the heart of the music industry. Our mission is to help songwriters spend more time doing what they love to do, write songs! Since 2010, only 4% of the Top 50 Songs were written by a solo songwriter. This means co-writing is crucial for success. This is why we created, We Should Write Sometime (WSWS). WSWS helps songwriters set up the PERFECT co-writes with a simple "Swipe Write." RollingStone Magazine called it a "Tinder for Songwriters." WSWS uses geolocation for songwriters to find other songwriters around them. Each profile has a bio, links to music and socials, songwriting skills, instruments played, and which PRO they belong to. This saves precious time and makes it easy to precisely find what you want and need in a co-writer. When a songwriter "swipes write" on a profile, if that songwriter "swipes write" back, then the double-opt-in is completed. Now the songwriters are connected in the app to message each other to set up a co-write. All without sharing personal information. If there aren't any songwriters around, users can geolocate to other cities and countries to find and connect with songwriters in other areas. WSWS has been featured in RollingStone, Billboard, and Forbes.
Recent changes: • Faster Messages — the Messages tab loads quicker and scrolls more smoothly, especially with a long conversation history. • Refresh Profiles in Settings now shows progress and confirms when it's done. • Rebuilt on the latest platform release, with steadier chat reconnection and a rare notification crash fixed.

Been using the app for almost a year, and it's been a game changer. Before I found WSWS I had only done 1 co-write in the 3 years I had been writing because I didn't know how to find other writers in my area (San Francisco). I've now made countless connections, and it has vastly improved my writing thanks to the interactions with other writers. The team is also super supportive and reachable if you need help. Forever a fan of this app!!!

I love any alternative to Vamp, but this isn't it, at least not yet. Why do I see my profile when I tap on a person's picture?! If I'm looking for a collaborator, why is a photo and summarized if not bare bio & link display make me want to write with that person? If I could see their links to songs (if applicable) wouldn't that save us all a lot more time???!!! A mutual connection based on photo doesn't suggest compatible writers. As a dating app, I love it tho 😁
