LOCAL WEATHER ALERTS

See active weather alerts in a clear Alerts tab. Weather Direct helps surface warnings, watches, advisories, and other local weather alerts without raw technical clutter.

Notification settings let you control which alerts matter to you, including alert and tropical weather preferences.

TROPICAL STORM AWARENESS

Track active tropical systems with basin filtering and storm details when systems are available. Weather Direct includes a dedicated Tropics tab so hurricane season and tropical storm activity have a clean place in the app.

PRIVACY-RESPECTING BY DESIGN

Weather Direct does not require an account.

Weather Direct does not include ads, analytics SDKs, advertising identifiers, Firebase, third-party weather providers, or a Weather Direct backend.

Your location is used to request weather for your area from public weather services. Weather data is requested directly from official public weather sources.
