WeatherNotify brings hyper‑local forecasts and alerts to your Android device — now delivered instantly via push.

Coverage
• Scholes / Cleckheaton / Wyke / Hartshead (incl. Windy Bank) / Bailiff Bridge / Brighouse
• Approx. 3‑mile radius from Scholes

How it’s different
• Not a generic feed from Met Office or other mainstream APIs
• Uses my local weather station and 15+ years of local data
• A custom forecast model runs every 6 hours (00Z, 06Z, 12Z, 18Z)
• Results typically publish ~60–90 minutes after each run, and are now delivered to the app instantly via push (polling kept as a fallback)

Features
• Instant notifications:
– Alerts: wind, lightning, ice, rain, temperature, pressure, fog, snow
– Forecasts: “New forecast” notifications when a new run is published
• Notifications history: see recent alerts/forecasts (with filters and “Clear all”)
• Controls: per‑type toggles and minimum severity (yellow/amber/red)
• Quiet hours: master toggle with custom start/end
• Status screen: last/next check, last run_id, “Next forecast availability (approx),” quiet‑hours status
• “Check now” to fetch updates on demand

• Reliability: background polling kept as a safety net
• Fog alerts tuned to reduce false positives on calm, humid nights
• Performance: faster forecast generation with smarter history windows

Recent changes:
a few bug fixes and changes in the layout the pressure now displays the pressure correctly, the 3 day forecast now has each day in one table instead of have different tables for each reading for that day, it is still a work in progress as most weather apps are i am constantly refining the actual model that the WeatherNotify app gets it days from
