★★★★★ Perfect. Displays the name of the weekday in nice bold lettering with the date underneath in small font; tapping the widget opens the calendar, and no ads.

★★☆☆☆ Worked well initially, but now seems to freeze and never updates. Have it in the list of "never sleep" apps on my Note-9, but still freezes. Need to remove widget and add again to get it to update once frozen. Currently, checking if Apps>App>Optimize Battery>Off resolves the problem...
