The app works and delivers what it promises to, and as far as iMessage on Android (from Play Store apps anyway) there is this app and Air Message (Tagavari). They both have a similar process of running a server from your Mac, but this app is a Java terminal command while the other app is its own macOS app. I prefer Air Message and find it much simpler to use/a more attractive UI, but I encourage anyone looking to run iMessage on Android to try both apps and decide for themselves.

Not ready for prime time. Really appreciate the effort and the idea, but there are just too many things that don't work yet for me to be able to actually use it without being constantly frustrated.

Not working correctly on Android pie. I am able to send messages to iCloud address from phone over public IP. Conversation show up in iMessage on iMac, but not showing up on phone or receiving new messages. Will try private IP when I get back in town.

Sorry I'm sure this works great but if you don't have an Apple computer you can't set it up, so it's not useful to me.
