WhereToGo: Places & Nightlife

See where the night is happening.

Find the popular and crowded places near you right now. Post photos, comment, and join the conversation at every place with the people who are actually there.

WhereToGo is a live map of the places people are at right now: busy cafés, crowded bars, the square everyone drifted to. Real places, real photographs, and the friends you choose, shown only where they chose to be seen. Looking for things to do tonight or places to go near you? Start here.

CROWDED
Switch to Crowded and the map lights up where people actually are. A pin that reads 17 is seventeen people there this minute, not a rating or a review from last year. Everyone is counted; nobody is named unless they chose to be. It is the fastest way to tell if a bar is busy before you walk over.

POPULAR
When nobody is out yet, the map still knows where to go. Tens of millions of real places, each with its own photograph, spread across the screen so a city reads like a city, not a list. Filter to cafés, bars, restaurants, parks or museums, whatever you are in the mood for. A city guide built from where people go, not from ads.

SHARE PLACES WITH FRIENDS
Post a spot you love with a photo and its real pinned location. Follow friends and people whose taste you trust, and see their favourite places in a feed and on the map. Your city, through the people you choose.

THE SAME MAP, EVERYWHERE
Paris, London, Istanbul, New York. One map for the world, in your language, that follows you from the street you are on to the city you are flying to. Nightlife, coffee, food and hidden gems in every city, from the people who are actually there.

THREADS
Every place has its own conversation. Not a feed of what people posted, but an inbox of what is being said, and where. Is the terrace open? Are there tables left? Ask the people who are there right now.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
No adverts. No advertising ID. No location history: the app keeps only your latest position, and only if you allow it. You decide who sees your photo, your age, your bio, your location and your presence, field by field. Delete your account and everything goes with it, permanently.
