Whitechapel Heatmap

★★★★★ If you enjoy Letters from Whitechapel but have a hard time tracking Jack or figuring out where his hideout could be, this app will be a great help to you. But you need to know exactly what it does and doesn't do before buying it: In order for the app to work, you have to know which location on the map Jack was at AND which movement step he was there on. If you don't have those two pieces of information, the app will not work correctly. At the end of each night, you put that last known location into the app and all of the types of movements Jack did after, and it will highlight on the map all of the locations that could be Jack's hideout. On the first night, you may have several locations highlighted, but the idea is to narrow that group down throughout the game after nights 2 and 3. There is input for night 4, but I'm not sure why it's there because the information from that night won't really help. The app doesn't do anything more or less than this. It's not for plotting each movement of Jack and the detectives. It's not going to retrace his steps or help you figure out where he could be from moment to moment. But it is a great tool.
