App does what it says if you understand the setup. *Big video ad blocks screen and can't be cleared without faff*. Working as a Wi-Fi repeater and quite fast on an old Motorola handset. Even with app battery optimization set to OFF / 'Keep Alive' ON, + charging, after screen is locked, times out after a short while. Displaying the hotspot password on the lock screen (not configurable) is hilarious. Useful if you get over the ads for a short duration connection e.g. relay ship's Wi-Fi.

Works great, you just need to put Proxy Manually on the connecting device from the repeater. You can find the Hostname as the IP and the Port as HTTP on the Homepage of the Wi-Fi Extender App.

Doesn't work... connects to this device but does not port through the internet from router

This app is malware, and doesn't work. An ad pops up and says your hard drive is 100% full and click here to clean your hard drive, and you will get 10gb more space. My hard drive is not full, this is a lie and a scam. Cannot connect to internet with this device... waste of time.
★☆☆☆☆Claire Lune· Aug 26, 2023
Useless. Does not extend, bridge, or share Wi-Fi. Just acts as a mobile hotspot like the rest of these trash apps.
★☆☆☆☆Benji Press· Jul 9, 2026
Fwi, Wi-Fi extender apps are scams. You can't extend a Wi-Fi signal with just a phone.
