For those who can't see the camera video even after successfully connecting to the SSID, try turning off your mobile data. That's what made it work for me (Galaxy S9). Dock 1 star for the hassle of having to figure this out.

This is a bad app, but found a hack to work if having problems connecting Van true X3 DC with Samsung Galaxy S10+ that worked for me. 1st. Turn off moble data then open app and hit connect, if a random network appears (not the one for the cam Wi-Fi), and ask (consistent, inconsistent, cancel) hit consistent and phone should connect right up. Hope this helps.

It never connects to the Wi-Fi in 6 months of having camera only able to successfully connect 4 times. What is the point of having a Wi-Fi connection with the camera if the app doesn't work!? Update this app please.

IF USING ANDROID 10 TURN OFF MOBILE DATA!! THE APP WILL THEN WORK! Thankfully another reviewer gave me this information. I was about to buy a new dash cam. Thanks to person that placed their review I saved a lot of $$
