Works well, and since you're using your own server 5 stars even thou plastered with ads edit: I installed this to test an CC Ultra's spped and anyone wondering why it seems slower wired it seems the eth adaptor is 10/100 only, while 5GhZ devices can be faster. Could've sworn the adaptor is supposed to be 10/100/1000

This rating refers to version 1.5.8., Android 11. There is no way to install an internet speed-test app on a Chromecast 2. So mostly you will only be able to test Internet-to-controller speed. But this app does the trick of testing the actual speed from Internet to a Cc2 streaming device.

When the speed test is starting on Chromecast it suddenly restarts. Maybe something has changed in Chromecast API that is making this problem because I had tried many times, and it's the same result

It really doesn't work as advertised. I've seen other reviews with the same problem that it must be picking servers or something from far away. Was having issues with my Chromecast stopping and buffering when streaming. Was on Wi-Fi. Ran the test. Had over 100 ping. Changed my set-up, hardwired into my PC, ran the test again, had even worse ping. Saying "we are working to improve" doesn't cut it. Shouldn't have launched the app if it doesn't even really work.
