I was delaying migrating from Windows mobile to Android because I knew that I would likely lose 6 years of valuable WhatsApp history. I could delay no longer, and this app was exactly what I needed This app is extremely worthwhile, and simplifies a most complicated issue. The greatest value is in the responsive and caring background service provided by Nicola the developer. Support is a priority here, and it is provided and documented well. My migration was from a Lumia 650 (Win) to a Lumia 532 (Win) and finally, it all came together in a new Nokia 4.2 (Android Pie). I took time to read all the information that it provided by both the app and also the developers most helpful website. I had to be methodical and careful, and set aside enough time to get it right. I am not super-technical, but I was successful first time.. 31,000 chat & 2,900 photos, videos, documents & voicemails all migrated perfectly It was super-important to get all that data migrated, especially with media. Transferring your Whatsapp messages and associated media from a Windows to Android is a challenge to say the least, this is because Windows encrypts the backups. I tried several other ways and this is app was the easiest and worked perfectly, even if it does take time and patience. This was made even more difficult for me as I had an older Nokia Lumia 920 running Windows 8.1 (a brilliant phone which I'm sad to let go). If you have an older 8.1 windows phone or a 950 or other x50 unsupported windows phone, don't despair, just get an old Windows10 phone off eBay, transfer Whatsapp to that phone and then use this app. I moved my vast Whatsapp message history and vast photos & video embedded media from my 920 Nokia Lumia to a 725 Nokia Lumia then used WinWazzapMigrator. It's not easy but it is perfectly possible, and they have flow charts and interactive help so just follow their instructions to the letter. The very best thing about this app is the brilliant technical support, it's the best and they always reply very quickly. This is probably the most difficult transfer from Windows to Android you will ever have to do and this app is the only way to go.

After advertising it can transfer whatsapp messages from windows phones to android devices, I was excited...only to be ripped off and disappointed. This app does not apply to windows phones. It'll only get you as far as paying for it, downloading it and recognizing that the windows files are encrypted and incompatible. Don't waste your time and money with this app!

I followed all steps for creating unencrypted backup on Lumia 830. Message size db is always 0 bytes. When using App Backup (beta) it does report out of memory exception but backup does get created. Please suggest what needs to be done. I have set the date in the past for now, and WhatsApp is able to access messages on Windows phone.

It may work on some Windows phones, but it doesn't work on my Lumia 640 LTE. The instructions require settings that simply don't exist. A total waste of time.
