Wonder if could be possible the routing of hotspot traffic through the vpn. Currently is bypassed. There is though a small issue, in case the server is down, you see connected but actually is not.

Didn't work on my Android 16 pixel 8. I was able to create the profile with a QR code but can't turn the VPN on because it said something about me not allowing the VPN. I can't find any setting to allow whatever it wants. Uninstalled and reinstalled with same issue.
